I think the first piece of "production music" I ever wrote was a piece for an episode of Eight Is Enough that my dad wrote the script for (Thanks,Dad.)

Did a theme and first show score for a series called Mega Movie Magic(Discovery) in ‘98 (thanks to my brother, Reed.) Started doing The Crocodile Hunter in ‘99 (crocodilehunter.com); I’ve scored twenty of the hour shows.

Also thirty five or so episodes of Croc Files, the first half-hour series, and twenty six episodes of The Crocodile Hunter Diaries (the second half-hour series.) Didn’t have much time to talk aesthetics with the director/producer, and I’m not a "conservatory cat", so I just tried to come up with some music that might have some shelf-life, and get it in on time.

Thanks to Steve Porcaro for help and guidance over the years with all things synth, and for his real-world scoring tips.

I never got to meet Steve Irwin - the world will miss his enthusiasm and personality, but he has left a legacy of wildlife education and protection that will benefit us all for years to come. Thank you Stevo.

Some examples of my work:

Here are 3 cues from "The Book That Shook The World"
documentary which aired on SBSi last year, produced by Fortian Productions and Film Finance Corporation. The Producers, Con Anemogiannis and Judy Menczel, were great to work with (especially considering they're in Potts Point and I'm in Coolangatta.) The synopsis; Sexuality and censorship - how 'the little red school book', a Swedish guide to sex and drug awareness "corrupted Australian morality" in the '60s and early '70s.

This show was aimed at the (approximately) 8 to 14 year old age group - went a little lighter and sillier with the music.

A lot of the second half hour series takes place at Australia Zoo, and involves the teen and twenty-something zoo staff, so I was asked to go a touch more urban with this one.
